Our Midwifery Services
All your care takes place in your own home at times convenient to you: we work in partnership with you and your family to plan the most appropriate level of care for your pregnancy and birth. Most of the women we care for plan to give birth at home, and we are able to offer the following care:-
- Homebirth & Water-birth
- Home birth after caesarean (HVBAC)
- Hospital birth (doula support only)
- Postnatal Care
- Antenatal Classes and 1-2-1 Sessions

You may have read or be aware that from October 2013 the law concerning insurance for health care professionals is changing and will affect how we practice as Independent Midwives. We at North Surrey Midwives will continue to give a full midwifery service and work with the new laws to do so. We would like to point out that in whatever capacity the new rules are implemented by the UK Government or the Nursing and Midwifery Council that women will NOT be breaking the law by engaging the services of an Independent Midwife.
NB: we do not offer a ‘just birth’ service, as we believe that an important contributor to a positive birth is the opportunity to have a built a strong, trusting relationship with your midwife. We do however take 'late' bookings so please do not hesitate to contact us for availability.
